The Angel At The Bar edition by Tim Roux Paranormal Romance eBooks
This is the story of Adam Melton, the ambitious brand manager of Petrovsk Vodka and a mysterious woman Yasemin he meets at a bar. Unfortunately I could not read far enough into this book to learn more of the plot or for it to get exciting for me.This book was a marketing book as far as I got. Very detail oriented and almost textual. I just couldnt force myself to read more then the fourth chapter. It was almost as if someone asked a marketing buisnessman to discuss work. If you arent into marketing then you get bored. Quickly. Then try and change the subject.
Maybe it just starts out slow? I just couldnt stick around long enough for it to get interesting.
I read the other two reviews for this book which were glowing 5 star reviews. Perhaps this book appeals to a different audience then me.

The Angel At The Bar edition by Tim Roux Paranormal Romance eBooks Reviews
A manual on brand management? A love story? A long pub crawl? Well, it's all of these things, and so much more. Any book with Tim Roux's name to it is a guaranteed good read as far as I'm concerned. He is particularly good, I feel, on emotional and ethical issues; he's also a dab hand at portraying human tragedy and joy in equal measure. I'm deliberately being vague here as I don't want to give too much away. You'll just have to read the book, I'm afraid.
This novel is dynamic on several levels. I felt myself wanting to eat it up as fast as I could in order to keep pace with the fast moving plot. At the same time I wanted to read it slowly so that I could savour the amazing language and the wealth of in-depth, uncannily sharp-eyed observations that flow from this author's pen on so many different aspects of his characters' lives - so tantalisingly applicable to our own.
Adam Melton progresses from being the successful brand manager of Petrovsk Vodka to a position so high that most people would not dare to even dream of aspiring to. The story begins with a tantalising insight into the world of strategic marketing written in a racy style, from Adam's point of view, as though he is right there talking to you and only you, and making you feel privileged to be receiving such highly detailed and informative info of how this brand leader guru catapults Petrovsk Vodka to the drink everyone must have.
The exotic Yasemin, with her enticing tresses of black wavy hair and her dangerous sapphire blue eyes comes and goes mysteriously in and out of Adam's life, setting down her own unorthodox set of rules and encouraging him in his daring exploits, from the cut-throat world of branding and marketing to the complex, shadowy world of politics, at the same time weaving her intoxicating web of sexual allure around him, making it difficult to maintain the necessary equilibrium between him and his wife Tessa and their two children.
This is the third of Tim Roux's seven novels that I have read, every one of them different. I can't wait to read the others.
